Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enlarge equipment storage space at the front part of a vehicle body while securing necessary rigidity.
SOLUTION: A front bumper 21 curved frontward at the center is provided in front of a front cross member 17 of a chassis frame 11 having a pair of side members 16 and the front cross member 17 laid at the front end of the side member 16. The front cross member 17 is so formed that the center of a front side wall 17a is bulged frontward so as to be along the rear face of the front bumper 21. The side member 16 has an outer side wall, and a first upper flange and a first lower flange connected to the upper end and lower end of the outer side wall. The front cross member 17 has a front side wall, and a second upper flange and a second lower flange connected to the upper end and lower end of the front side wall. Upper and lower reinforcing flanges 17e are respectively connected to both ends of the second upper and second lower flanges, and the reinforcing flanges are respectively stuck to the lower face of the first upper flange and the upper face of the first lower flange.
