Abstract:

To improve impact energy absorptivity in a vehicle front part in a front collision of a vehicle, by actively using high rigidity in the vehicle longitudinal direction of a vehicle body frame, in a front sub-frame arranged under the vehicle body frame.

Side frames 14 and 14 are connected to and supported by front side frames 2 and 2 by front end support parts 18 and 18 and intermediate support parts 21 and 21. While front parts 25 and 25 of bending promoting parts 24 and 24 are inclined backward and downward, rear parts 26 and 26 are constituted so as to become substantially horizontal. Thus, the moment operates around a connecting part between the front parts 25 and 25 and the rear parts 26 and 26 of the bending promoting parts 24 and 24, and the front parts 25 and 25 and the rear parts 26 and 26 bend to the lower side with this connecting part as the substantial center.
