To provide a front suspension device having advantages of both strut type and double wishbone type, excellent in both operation stability and sound vibration performance.
One end of a lower link 46 is mounted rotatably on a lower part of a knuckle 40 and the other end is rockably supported vertically by a vehicle side member. A rotation connecting member 48 is placed on an upper part of the knuckle rotatably around a vertical axis. An upper end of a shock absorber 56 is connected rockably with the vehicle side member via a mount insulator 72. One end of an upper link 50 and the other end of the same are connected rockably with the vehicle side member and a connecting member respectively. The upper link is mounted on the vehicle side member and the connecting member respectively at one of mounting parts. An axis LU to link centers of both mounting parts and a rotation axis of the connecting member are placed such that they have an intersection. An elastic body bush is arranged on the mounting parts such that their axes are at the right angles to the axis LU. The mount insulator has high rigidity in a fore-and-aft direction of vehicle body and low rigidity in a vehicle width direction.
