Abstract:
To achieve stable driving that reduces kingpin offset, by stably positioning a kingpin axis, in a front-wheel-drive vehicle equipped with an outer rotor-type in-wheel motor.
A front wheel 1 equipped with the outer rotor-type in-wheel motor is connected to a subframe 7 as a vehicle body-side member by two upper links 2 and two lower links 3. The kingpin axis comprising an intersection point of both the links 2 and 3 is set to pass through the center O of tire contact patch of the front wheel 1, and a rubber bush 8 with a built-in ball joint is installed at a support point of each link with respect to the subframe 7 so as to position and stabilize the kingpin axis.
