Abstract:
To provide a front vehicle body structure of an automobile capable of absorbing shocks to a collision object at the time of vehicle collision.
A hood lock mechanism 17 locking a front end 5b of a hood 5 is supported by brackets 18, 19 fixed to a dash panel 3 and a radiator support member 4. The brackets 18, 19 are provided with a fragile part 18 and a slit 19e (shock absorbing means) allowing the hood lock mechanism 17 to move rearward of the vehicle at the time of vehicle collision.
