To provide a front vehicle body structure of an automobile capable of improving rigidity of a cowl member while efficiently transmitting a load transmitted to a front side frame to the rear and dispersing it.

The front vehicle body structure of the automobile includes the cowl member extending to the front along an overall area in the vehicle width direction from a dash lower panel 2 and a side part front end of which is connected to a suspension tower 3 and a reinforcing member to connect a front side frame 12 and an apron reinforcement 14 to each other in the neighborhood of the suspension tower 3 (mounting bracket 10, auxiliary frame 30 and second auxiliary frame 36), and the second auxiliary frame 36 making a part of the reinforcing member is provided straddling over both of a cowl front side member 23 and the suspension tower 3 constituting the cowl member so as to form a cross-section surface 37 extending in the vehicle width direction between the cowl front side member 23 and the suspension tower 3 constituting the cowl member.
