To provide a front window holding device of a cabin for construction equipment, which can minimize a force necessary for opening/closing a front window, and ensures good visibility of the operator when the front window is arranged on a front surface of the cabin.
The front window holding device is formed of: a sliding means which can slide an upper front window 2 arranged on the front surface of the cabin 1 up to a ceiling portion 4; a lock device 8 which can lock the upper front window 2 at a location of the ceiling portion 4; and a fall prevention device 10 which is a safety device in case of failure of the lock device 8. The sliding means includes a pair of link mechanisms which are arranged on both sides of the upper front window 2, and each have an arm 7 having one end thereof turnably connected to a frame 2B forming a side surface of the upper front window 2, and the other end thereof turnably connected to a frame of the cabin 1. The fall prevention device 10 is arranged on the frame 9 constituting a body of the cabin 1, located under the upper front window 2 arranged on the ceiling portion 4 so as to be opposed to the upper front window 2, and has a support portion, i.e. an L-shaped pin 10D, for abutting on the upper front window 2 and supporting the same if the upper front window 2 is about to fall.
