Abstract:
To design a thin-walled FRP tube of small diameter without causing cost increase.
A polymer SP(station post) insulator 1 comprises an FRP tube 2 and a covering 3 made of rubber and consisting of a trunk part 4 provided on the periphery of the FRP tube 2 and a plurality of sheds 5, and rib parts 12-1 to 12-4 projecting toward the center of the FRP tube 2 are provided on the inner circumference of the FRP tube 2. The FRP tube 2 is manufactured by forming grooves in a mandrel for forming the rib parts 12-1 to 12-4, filling portions of the grooves with fibers wound in these grooves, and forming a cylinder part 11 by a filament winding method with respect to the mandrel obtained.
