To provide an FT synthesis catalyst capable of highly selectively synthesizing isoparaffin of high octane number that can replace gasoline.
The FT synthesis catalyst is one that keeps a plurality of nanoparticles disperse-supported by or deposited over the surface of a powdered carrier by rotating or oscillating a vacuum vessel whose internal cross-section shape is polygonal with an almost perpendicular direction to the cross-section as a pivot point to perform sputtering while stirring, rotating, or oscillating the powdered carrier in the vacuum vessel, wherein the powdered carrier is composed of at least one material selected from a group consisting of zeolite, silica gel, alumina and titanium oxide, and the nanoparticle is a material particle containing at least one metal particle of Co and Ru or the metal particle is provided.
