Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To deal with exhaust gas adjustment so as to suppress a fuel quantity from being increased to a specific value or more in a carburetor equipped with a cylindrical throttle valve, by providing an air passage by which the throttle hole of the throttle valve and a part further upstream from the throttle valve of the intake passage of a carburetor main body are communicated with each other.
SOLUTION: In regard to assembly in a factory, after an air quantity adjusting needle valve 43 is screwed so as to close an air passage 41, the relative position of a needle 15 to a fuel injection hole 16 in the idle position of a throttle valve 17, namely, the opening of the fuel injection hole 16 is set. A closing/stopping member 62 is fitted to the cylindrical body 47 of a valve shaft 17a and fixed by adhesive 61 so that the opening of the fuel injection hole 16a in the idle position of the throttle valve 17 is set not to exceed an exhaust gas regulation value. When a fuel quantity is adjusted according to engine operating environment and so on, the opening of the needle valve 43 is adjusted so as to increase an air quantity taking a circuit around the air passage 41 from an intake passage 44 so that a fuel quantity sucked from the fuel injection hole 16a to a throttle hole 17b can be decreased.
