Title:
FUEL BATTERY
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP2013157315
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

To prevent areas located near an anode outlet and a cathode inlet from being dry at high temperatures and concurrently prevent flooding in an area located at the cathode outlet side and far from the anode inlet at low temperatures.

A fuel cell 10 includes: a membrane electrode assembly 23 where a cathod and an anode are disposed on both surfaces of an electrolyte membrane; separators 26 and 28 provided so as to face the membrane electrode assembly; cathode gas passages 30 and anode gas passages 40 which are provided so as to form flow opposite to each other and be arranged perpendicular or substantially perpendicular to each other, the cathode gas passages 30 and the anode gas passages 40 formed so that an anode inlet 41 is disposed near a cathode outlet 32 and an anode outlet 42 is disposed near a cathode inlet 31; and a coolant passage 50 disposed at the side of the separator opposite to the side where the membrane electrode assembly 23 is provided. A coolant inlet 51 is disposed near the anode outlet 42 and a coolant outlet 52 is disposed at a position at the cathode outlet 32 side and far from the anode inlet 41.
