To provide a fuel cell body for reducing the number of components.
The fuel cell body 2 comprises a structure 4 in which a positive electrode and a negative electrode are provided at one side and the other side of an electrolyte body, respectively; a positive electrode separator 6 having oxidizer supply sections 12a, 14, 12b that are arranged at the positive electrode side of the structure 4 and supply oxidizer to the positive electrode; and a negative electrode separator 20 having fuel supply sections 26, 30 that are arranged at the negative electrode side of the structure 4 and supply fuel to the negative electrode. The fuel cell body 2 further has pressing mechanisms 38, 40, 42 for relatively moving the positive electrode separator 6 and the negative electrode separator 20 for holding and pressing the structure 4 by the positive electrode separator 6 and the negative electrode separator 20.
