Title:
FUEL CELL ELECTRODE
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3828507
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fuel cell electrode preventing insufficient contact of boundaries between respective layers and deterioration of performance of an ion exchange membrane and capable of reducing a thickness of the ion exchange membrane. SOLUTION: The fuel cell electrode 12 is made by forming a positive electrode layer 18 by applying a solution for the positive electrode layer 18, forming an ion exchange membrane 19 by applying a solution for the ion exchange membrane 19 on the positive electrode layer 18 not dried yet, and forming a negative electrode layer 17 by applying a solution for the negative electrode layer 17 on the ion exchange membrane 19 not dried yet, and solidifying the positive and negative electrode layers 18, 17 and the ion exchange membrane 19 by drying. The positive electrode layer 18 is separated into two layers of a first layer 18a at the side separated from the ion exchange membrane 19, and a second layer 18b at the side contacting with the ion exchange membrane 19, and with a porosity of the second layer 18b set smaller than that of the first layer 18a.
