Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To shorten starting time in a fuel cell using a hydrogen storage alloy tank.
SOLUTION: A catalytic combustor 4 catalytically burns unreacted hydrogen, and comprises a combustion part 4a, an air supply part 4b, and an air exhausting part 4c. An exhaust air duct 422 is connected to the air exhausting part 4c. An air outlet side end 423 of the exhaust air duct 422 is positioned in the vicinity of a specific hydrogen storage alloy tank unit body 3a, and exhausted air in catalyst combustion is concentrated in the hydrogen storage alloy tank unit body 3a to exchange heat.
