PURPOSE: To carry out the valve operation tests without changing over to another fuel by performing the control upon instal ling a bypass line and flow control valves additionally in one of the fuel systems.
CONSTITUTION: The operation tests for flow control valves 3. 6 for fuel change-over are made during power generation with urban gas by putting a control device 51 in the fuel change-over test mode. With a signal given by the control device 51, a valve 47 on a bypass line 48 is opened, and at the same time, valves 32, 52 are closed while a valve 10 is opened. The gas 4 is passed through the line 48 and supplied to a desulfurizing device 7, and the power generation goes on. Because the valve 32 is closed, a pressure sensor 5 senses the drop of the supply pressure and gives a signal to the control device 51. The device 51 receives the signal, and closes the valve 6 while opens the valve 3. Liquefied propane gas is combusted by a burner 9 of a reformer device and not used in the power generation. With controlling by the device 51, the valves are restituted to the condition before the opening/closing test, i.e., into the steady generating mode. The gas 4 is sent from the normal supply line via the valve 6 and supplied to the desulfurizing device 7, and power generation with gas 4 goes on without interruption.
