Abstract:
To inhibit highly concentrated hydrogen from being discharged through a drain control valve.SOLUTION: A fuel cell system 1 comprises: a fuel cell 10 including a hydrogen passage 10h; a hydrogen supply passage 31 connected to an inlet of the hydrogen passage; an injector 44 disposed in the hydrogen supply passage; an anode off-gas passage AP connected to an outlet of the hydrogen passage; and a drain control valve 46 provided in the anode off-gas passage. A hydrogen substitution processing for opening the injector so that pressure in the hydrogen passage becomes requested hydrogen pressure while opening the drain control is executed. The fuel cell system 1 further comprises a pressure sensor 94a for detecting pressure in the hydrogen passage. When it is determined that the pressure in the hydrogen passage is higher than the requested hydrogen pressure, no hydrogen substitution processing is performed.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
