To provide a fuel cell system provided with a switching valve for adjusting a supply pressure of a fuel gas inside a supply passage, a circulation pump for sending forcibly the gas inside a circulation passage to the supply passage, in which a blockade of the supply passage in a low temperature environment is suppressed.
The fuel cell system 1 includes a supply passage 22 for sending gas supplied from a fuel supply source 21 to a fuel cell 2, a switching valve 26 for adjusting a gas condition in an upstream side of the supply passage 22 to a downstream side, a circulation passage 23 for guiding gas exhausted from the fuel cell 2 to the supply passage 22, and a circulation pump 31 for sending forcibly the gas exhausted from the fuel cell 2 to the supply passage 22, wherein furthermore, a joining portion A between the supply passage 22 and the circulation passage 23 is arranged in a downstream side of the switching valve 26. A controlling means 6 for synchronizing a spraying timing of the fuel gas by the switching valve 26 and an exhausting timing of the gas by the circulation pump 31 in a low temperature environment is aslo provided.
