Abstract:

To provide a fuel cell system capable of diagnosing more simply and precisely the power generation performance, and its state diagnostic method.

The cell voltage of a fuel cell stack is measured (step S5) and flooding is diagnosed (step S7), based on the cell voltage measured. During the diagnosis period of flooding (step S1:YES), the output condition of the fuel cell stack is maintained at a constant (step S3). When flooding is diagnosed (step S7:YES), flooding countermeasures such as changing of the supply state of the reaction gas are taken (step S9).
