PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fuel battery system that can be supplied with water used for power generation from the outside and suppress reduction of the power generation amount.SOLUTION: A fuel battery system has a fuel battery 1, a heat exchange unit 2 for performing heat-exchange between exhaust gas discharged from the fuel battery and heat medium to reduce exhaust gas temperature and withdraw water, a storage tank 4 for storing the heat medium heated by the heat-exchange with the exhaust gas, a detector 41 for detecting the temperature state of the heat medium in the storage tank, a circulation flow path 8 for circulating the heat medium in the storage tank through the heat-exchange unit, a heat radiation unit 3 for making the heat medium flowing in the circulation flow path radiate heat, a heater 5 for heating the heat medium flowing in the circulation flow path, a calculator 6 for calculating heat radiation tolerance of the heat radiation unit, and an output controller 7 for controlling power generation output of the fuel battery. When the heat medium in the storage tank is determined to reach a full storage state, the output controller controls the power generation output of the fuel battery so that the power generation output is larger than the lowest power generation output within a range where the heat radiation tolerance has a positive value.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
