Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To consume surplus power surely without having adverse effect on the cooling system in a fuel cell system which can produce regenerative power.SOLUTION: A secondary battery 13 is charged with a first surplus power, which exceeds the power consumption of a load means, out of the total power of the generated power from a fuel cell 10 and the regenerative power from regenerative power generation means 11 and 12. Out of the first surplus power, the power exceeding the acceptable power of the secondary battery is the second surplus power. When the flow rate of cooling water supplied to an electric heater 51 is equal to or higher than a predetermined flow rate corresponding to heat generation when consuming the second surplus power in the electric heater 51, the second surplus power is consumed in the electric heater 51. When the flow rate of cooling water supplied to the electric heater 51 is lower than a predetermined flow rate, the flow rate of cooling water is increased and the acceptable power of the secondary battery is increased, and the secondary battery 13 is charged with the second surplus power.
