Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fuel battery system that can be relatively surely started up and excellently follow the power consumption variation.SOLUTION: A fuel battery system comprising a hydrogen storing module having hydrogen storing alloy for storing and discharging hydrogen and a container for housing the hydrogen storing alloy, and a fuel battery module for generating electric power through oxidation reaction of hydrogen supplied from the hydrogen storing module, comprises a cooling mechanism for bringing a thermal medium into contact with the fuel battery module, a duct for collecting the thermal medium discharged from the cooling mechanism, a heating mechanism for heating the hydrogen storing alloy of the hydrogen storing module through heat-exchange with the thermal medium collected in the duct, and a casing in which the hydrogen storing module and the fuel battery module are mounted. The duct may be a part of the casing, and configured so that the opening area is gradually reduced from the fuel battery module side to the hydrogen storing module side.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
