To provide a fuel cell vehicle in which a diode for preventing a reverse flow can be utilized more effectively.
A short circuit in a diode 50 is detected when a voltage (a secondary voltage V2) after being boosted by a DC/DC converter 74 is higher than an open circuit voltage (OCV) of a fuel cell 42. Thus, even if a short circuit in the diode 50 occurs, a countermeasure for it can be taken quickly. As a result, the diode 50 for preventing a reverse flow can be used more effectively. Moreover, when the short circuit in the diode 50 is detected, FC contactors 56a, 56b are opened so that voltage impression from a battery 62 or a motor 22 to the fuel cell (FC) 42 arising from the short circuit of the diode 50 can be prevented to protect the FC 42.
