The fuel control system of the premixed compression ignition combustion internal combustion engine (1) includes a high temperature exhaust gas supply passage (5) for supplying an exhaust gas with higher temperature directly to a combustion chamber, and low temperature exhaust gas supply passages (16, 17, 22) each for supplying the exhaust gas with lower temperature directly to the combustion chamber, in the premixed compression ignition combustion internal combustion engine (1). In this fuel control system, the higher a load of the internal combustion engine (1) is, the more an entire amount of the exhaust gas supplied to the combustion chamber is increased. And, the temperature of the entire exhaust gas supplied to the combustion chamber is lowered by increasing the ratio of the exhaust gas with the lower temperature to the entire exhaust gas.
