PURPOSE: To perform a fuel cut, only at a stop when an electric power source circuit for turning on lamps is not used, and ensure safety of running, by providing a fuel cut control circuit, engine restarting circuit and electric power saving circuit in a fuel controller.

CONSTITUTION: In the method of deceleration by releasing an accelerator pedal and depressing a brake pedal, further when an electrical equipment 36 is not used, if a speed changer is selectively placed to a gear position of high speed side, a conditioner for a fuel cut control circuit 50 to output a fuel cut signal is satisfied, and supply of fuel to an engine is cut off. Under this condition, the deceleration is continued, if an automobile is stopped, the automobile stops with the engine in a stopped state. Accordingly, supply of unnecessary fuel at deceleration can be cut off, while fuel at idling can be cut off, thus the fuel can be saved.
