Abstract:

To provide a fuel electrode material for a solid oxide fuel cell realizing high electrode activity not existing in the conventional electrode in which Ni or Pd is individually added to a mixed oxide, and to provide its manufacturing method and a solid oxide fuel battery cell.

The fuel electrode material for the solid oxide fuel cell is manufactured by adding Ni and Pd to a mixture of an electron conductive oxide and an oxygen ion conductive oxide. The electron conductive oxide is a lanthanum chromite-based oxide and the oxygen ion conductive oxide is a ceria-based oxide. The adding ratio of Ni and Pd satisfies 0.3<Pd/(Pd+Ni)<1.0 at the conversion of an atomic ratio. The electron conductive oxide and the oxygen ion conductive oxide are mixed to form a mixture body, the mixture body is impregnated with Ni and Pd, dried and baked to manufacture the fuel electrode material for the solid oxide fuel cell. The solid oxide fuel cell cell is manufactured by using the fuel electrode material for the solid oxide fuel cell and interposing an electrolyte layer comprising the lanthanum gallate system oxide between a fuel electrode layer and an air electrode layer.
