Abstract:

To provide a fuel evaporative emission control sealed tank system for a small engine for minimizing a space necessary for required additional components.

A small engine fuel system 10 comprises a fuel tank 12 having an fueling pipe 22 formed integrally therewith. The fueling pipe 22 is formed of a fuel evaporative emission non-permeable material to be HVOH or polyamide-dispersed HDPE, and it has a lower end 26 arranged at a lower level on the upper part of a tank wall. The fueling pipe 22 is arranged in a recessed portion on the upper part of the tank wall or it has an insert extending into a lower position on the upper part of the tank wall of the tank to form a fuel evaporative emission space. The fuel tank 12 includes a fueling restricting fuel evaporative emission ventilation/turn-over valve 28 having an outlet 30 connected to a storage canister 34. The storage canister 34 has an outlet and an air vent hole to the engine 18.
