PURPOSE: To improve a serviceability at a gas station, by providing a vehicle sensor and an image projector operable in response to a signal from the sensor and capable of indicating an amount of filled fuel on a windshield of a car which steps at a fuel filling position, whereby a driver can recognize it at a sitting position.

CONSTITUTION: When an automobile 17 stops at a fuel filling position, an image of the automobile 17 is captured by a detecting part 8a of a vehicle sensor 8 which generates a detection signal to a control unit 10. The control unit 10 detects a position of a windshield glass 17a of the automobile 17 based on the detection signal from the vehicle sensor. A position detection signal generated at the control unit 10 is transmitted to an universal drive mechanism 13 on the side on which a projector 9 is disposed. Upon actuation of the universal drive mechanism 13, the lower face of a projector case 12 is directed to the windshield glass 17a. A pair of reels 15a and 15b rotate in association with filling of fuel so that a film 14 which has numerical indications corresponding to the amount of supplied fuel, is wound onto the reel and stopped upon termination of fuel filling. A film portion on which the indication of supplied fuel amount is found, is positioned immediately above a light transmitting panel 11. When light is irradiated from the projector 16, an image of the numerical indication on the film 14 is projected through the light transmitting panel 11 onto the windshield glass 17a. A driver can recognize the amount of supplied fuel at his sitting position by reading the numerical indication on the windshield glass 17a.
