To keep the accuracy of a governor high when an electronic governor is in operation by letting the input part for a mechanical governor of a fuel quantity adjusting part be so constituted as to be released from the output part of the mechanical governor when the electronic governor controlling the fuel quantity adjusting part is in operation.
A fuel feed device is equipped with an electronic governor 1 which compares output signals from a revolution number setting means 15 and an actual revolution number detecting means 16 with each other by a controller 13, and moves a fuel quantity adjusting part 3 so as to be adjusted in quantity by an electromagnetic solenoid 10 based on its deviation found. And the fuel feed device is also equipped with a mechanical governor 2 which has the fuel quantity adjusting part 3 linked with a governor spring force generating device 19 by way of a governor force inputting lever 25. And when the electronic governor 1 is in operation, it is so constituted that the input part for the mechanical governor of the fuel quantity adjusting part 3 is released from the output part 5 of the mechanical governor 2, and an input part 6 for the electronic governor is so designed as to be brought into contact with the output part 7 of the electronic governor 1 with pressure by the energizing force of an energizing spring 8.
