Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an internal combustion engine fuel feeder that is able to reduce the operating force of a piston for a priming pump by enlarging a fuel passage area in a fuel passage in time of operating this piston of the priming pump.
SOLUTION: This fuel feeder is provided with a bypass passage 7 communicating a fuel suction passage 21 to imbibe fuel into a pump body 13 of a feed pump 4 and a fuel discharge passage 22 to discharge the fuel from the inside of this pump body 13, and in this constitution, such a bypass valve 9 as being opened when an internal pressure in the fuel suction passage 21 becomes higher than that of the fuel discharge passage 22 is installed in the point midway in this bypass passage 7, and at a time when a piston 18 of a priming pump 5 is depressed and thereby fuel in a pump case 16 is fed to an injection pump 3 and air bleeding in a fuel piping system is carried out, the fuel to be discharged out of the pump case 16 is made so as to be bypassed from the pump body 13, whose fuel passage area is very small, rather than other spots.
