PURPOSE: To feed fuel to each of cylinders of a multiple cylinder engine synchronized with its intake stroke by providing a fuel feed passage which is opened by the opening action of an inlet valve and a control means which reduces pressure in said passage in accordance with increase in intake negative pressure.
CONSTITUTION: When an inlet valve 20 is opened, only during a certain time in the middle part of the valve opening period, a subsidiary fuel passage 15 is connected to an intake port 30 through the hole 33 of a valve stem guide 31, a chamber 32, etc. Thereby, fuel in the subsidiary fuel passage 15 is sucked out into the intake port 30 due to negative pressure in an intake passage 8 and, further, together with fuel which is sucked out from a main fuel passage 7 into the intake passage 8 via a main nozzle 9 due to the negative pressure of a venturi, fed into a combustion chamber 35. That is, a closing valve V which is opened in between an inlet valve stem 20a and the valve stem guide 31 is formed due to the opening action of the inlet valve 20, and the end part on an engine body E side of the subsidiary fuel passage 15 is connected to this closing valve V.
