Abstract:
To provide a fuel filter assembly that has a fuel transfer pump and has a water separating characteristic.
The fuel filter assembly 20 has an outer shell 21. A first end of the outer shell 21 has a fuel inlet passage 39, a fuel outlet passage 40 and a water collecting region 35, and a second end thereof is closable by a removable lid 22. A fuel filter cartridge 23 is disposed in the outer shell 21. The cartridge has a filter element 63 for filtering out water. A fuel transfer pump 42 is disposed in an internal space 38 of the filter element 63. An operation of a plunger 78 causes a filter detector control circuit to prevent fuel delivery to a downstream position unless the fuel filter cartridge is disposed properly.
