To provide a fuel filter mounting structure of a rough ground traveling vehicle capable of ensuring easy exchangeability; achieving protection from mud, water, dust, and the like, and having a compact layout.
In the fuel filter mounting structure of a saddle type rough ground traveling vehicle, a vehicle body frame 2 includes an upper frame and a lower frame, or a main frame made of one of them and forming the base of the vehicle body frame, and a pair of right and left seat rails 22 connected to the rear part of the main frame and extending to the rear part of the vehicle body to support a seat 17, wherein the saddle type rough ground traveling vehicle includes: a rear fender 14 mounted on the seat rails and covering the upper part of a rear wheel 13; upper part covers 17, 18a covering the upper part of the seat rails and being detachable; a fuel tank 3 disposed in a center position in a vehicle width direction under the seat rails; and a fuel filter 5 interposed to be detachable in the middle of a fuel supply pipe 31 connecting from the fuel tank to an internal combustion engine. The fuel filter is disposed near the fuel tank and under the upper part covers.
