Abstract:
To provide a fuel heating system heating the amount of fuel necessary to start an engine before cranking to a temperature required for starting in a short time.
A fuel heating apparatus 30 includes a heater 28 heating fuel L inside a fuel delivery pipe 18 supplying the fuel L to the engine 20 of a vehicle 10, and the output density M of the heater 28 is set to be M≤27W/cm2(W:watt). In the fuel heating apparatus 30, since the output density M of the heater 28 is set to M≤27W/cm2, the fuel L is heated without causing the film boiling of the fuel L in the fuel delivery pipe 18. Since the fuel L is heated in the fuel delivery pipe 18, a heat-transfer path from the heater 28 to the fuel L is the shortest and a heat transfer loss to a part other than the fuel L is minimized. Thereby, the amount of fuel L necessary to start the engine 20 before cranking is heated to the temperature required for starting in a short time.
