Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a common rail type fuel injection system capable of improving pressure controlling property and pressure stabilizing property of actual fuel pressure by changing driving current cycle of a suction control valve (SCV) in accordance with a pump suction cycle of a supply pump.
SOLUTION: The pump suction cycle of the supply pump is calculated from a pump revolving speed and TDC position judgement signals of plungers #1 and #2 of the supply pump. In an area where the pump suction cycle is near an integral multiple of τa, the driving current frequency is changed to be a second driving current cycle (τb) which is longer than τa and the driving current cycle is set so that the pump suction frequency does not become near an integral multiple of the driving current cycle. DUTY ratio of the SCV driving current is calculated from the driving current cycle and final SCV driving current necessary for a target fuel pressure. Swell of stationary actual fuel pressure (pressure of a common rail) at the time that the pump suction cycle becomes a value near an integral multiple of the driving current cycle does not occur.
