Abstract:

To provide a fuel injection control device for a cylinder fuel injection engine, capable of positively removing the soil of deposit or the like stuck to an intake port and an intake valve.

In the cylinder fuel injection engine 1 wherein the closing timing of the intake valve V1 is set in the initial stage of a compression stroke, fuel is injected near the piston intake bottom dead center BDC of the engine 1. This fuel injection control device may otherwise have a normal injection mode used for fuel injection control in normal operation, a cleaning injection mode different in fuel injection timing from the normal injection mode and used for fuel injection control when cleaning an intake system, and a mode control means (ECU) 9 selecting the cleaning injection mode when determining the time that the intake system (the intake ports 11, V1, etc.) requires cleaning.
