To provide a fuel injection control device of a direct injection engine capable of suppressing degradation of the drivability and enhancing the fuel consumption in a vehicle with the direct injection engine to be operated through the homogeneous combustion and an automatic transmission with a lockup mechanism mounted thereon.
The fuel injection control device sets the fuel injection start timing by an injector to be in a compression stroke when it is detected that the combustion state of an engine 1 is unstable on the condition that a lockup mechanism 33 is in a lockup state. On the other hand, when the lockup mechanism 33 is in a released state even if it is detected that the combustion state of the engine 1 is unstable, the fuel injection start timing by the injector is set to be in an intake stroke.
