To provide a fuel injection control device of an internal combustion engine capable of suppressing the occurrence of smoke.
The fuel injection control device is applied to the internal combustion engine 1 with a fuel injection valve 9 directly injecting a fuel into a cylinder 2, and capable of controlling the operation of the fuel injection valve 9 so that main injection and after-injection performed after the main injection are performed during one cycle as fuel injection into the cylinder 2. A position of a flame of a fuel injected in the main injection is estimated, and an injection rate of the fuel injection valve 9 in the after-injection is changed to prevent a fuel injected in the after-injection from reaching the estimated position of the flame.
