This fuel injection control device includes a fuel injection device for directly injecting fuel into a cylinder, and controls fuel injection of an internal combustion engine for generating a swirl flow. The fuel injection device includes a setting means capable of performing main injection and the pilot injection, injecting the fuel outward in the radial direction of the swirl flow in a view in the axial direction of the cylinder and setting a command value T of an interval between the finishing timing of the pilot injection and the starting timing of the main injection, and a determining means for determining whether or not the main spray overlaps with a pilot spray based on a speed Vsw of the detected or estimated swirl flow and the command value. The setting means resets the command value to a value for restraining the main spray from overlapping with the pilot spray (S15) when the determining means determines that the main spray overlaps with the pilot spray based on a predetermined value predetermined as the command value (S13-Y).
