To securing good engine operability, in fuel injection control of an engine, by determining a fuel injection time for maintaining a target engine rotating speed corresponding to all operated conditions, without delay.
In this fuel injection control method of an engine for maintaining a target engine rotating speed, an electronic unit 40 as a fuel injection control device outputs an injector drive signal by using detected data on an intake pipe pressure value and an engine rotating speed for estimating an intake air flow rate in a predetermined calculating method, and using deviations from the intake air flow rate and the target engine rotating speed for determining a fuel injection time in a predetermined calculating method. The fuel injection time is obtained by adding a battery voltage variation correcting time which is found in a predetermined calculating method and a transient correction injection time which corrects the deviation of an actual engine rotating speed from the target engine rotating speed, to a basic injection time which is obtained by a predetermined calculating method.
