Abstract:

PURPOSE: To improve the starting performance by setting the effective fuel injection starting timing supplied from a plunger to the vicinity of the max. value of the cam speed of a cam plate by controlling an under-pressure supply timing adjusting means and an advance angle position adjusting means by the output of a start detecting means.

CONSTITUTION: A control unit U judges the engine starting time from the state of a starting switch 65, and the injection timing is set by controlling an opening/ closing valve 52, and the injection pressure is set by controlling a valve 42, and the effective fuel injection starting timing is set to the vicinity where the cam speed of a cam plate 15 becomes max. Accordingly, the fuel which is sent under pressure from a plunger 3 in a fuel injection valve secures a high pressure from the start, and the fuel supplied into a combustion chamber is atomized sufficiently from the start of feed, and ignition performance is improved, and the sure start is permitted.
