Abstract:

PURPOSE: To provide the fuel controller for a Diesel engine which reduces the generation quantity of smoke in a high loaded operation by properly controlling the injection pressure.

CONSTITUTION: A Diesel engine is equipped with an intake swirl varying mechanism and a fuel injection system which is equipped with an electric control type injector and a fuel pressure adjusting mechanism, and performs setting to the weak intake swirl in the case of a low loaded state, while performing setting to the strong intake swirl in the case of a high loaded state, and the injection pressure is set high as the engine revolution speed is lower, and the intake flow speed is lower, and the intake swirl is weaker in case of the high loaded state, and the mixing of the injected mist and air is accelerated through the atomization of the injected mist and the increase of the injection angle, and the generation of smoke is suppressed.
