Title:
FUEL INJECTION CONTROLLING METHOD
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPS61241431
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To make an air-fuel ratio controllable to the desired one even in any state such as acceleration and/or constant speed or the like, by compensating a maximum fuel injection timing interval at each injection according to an engine running state.

CONSTITUTION: A fundamental fuel injection quantity (or a fundamental injection timing range Tp of a fuel injection valve 7) is calculated from an engine speed N and a suction air quantity Q and stored in a random access memory. Likewise, a fuel compensation factor is calculated from cooling water and suction air temperature and stored in this RAM. At the time of normal running, since an air flow meter is normally works, the fundamental injecting timing range Tp is used. However, at the time of high load running, the timing range Tp grows larger than a value of a maximum fuel injection timing range TpMAX corresponding to a desired air-fuel ratio whereby it becomes overrich. Accordingly, the timing range TmMAX set at each engine speed is set down to the fundamental fuel injection timing range Tp in place of this timing range Tp and thereby the air-fuel ratio is controlled. With this constitution, a proper fuel injection is controllable at the whole range of engine operation.
