PURPOSE: To inject proper fuel even at the time when water is not injected into a fuel valve because of shortage of water or failure of a water supply system by providing a water detection sensor in a water tank and supplying and stopping water by a controller.
CONSTITUTION: This device consists of a fuel injection pump 23, a water pump 29 and a solenoid valve 31, and it is constituted to simultaneously inject fuel and water in a cylinder by a single fuel valve 1 by way of setting a rack position of the fuel injection pump 23 by increasing a water supply amount. Additionally, a water detection sensor 35 set at a low level position of a water tank 28 is provided. Moreover, a controller 33 to stop supplying water at the time when this water detection sensor works and to return the rack of the fuel injection pump 23 to a position not to inject water is provided. Consequently, supply of water is stopped before water in the water tank 28 becomes short, and the rack position of the fuel injection pump 23 return to the position not to inject water and a fuel injection amount comes to be a proper value.
