To improve the startability of an engine and exhaust gas characteristic at the time of starting the engine while freely setting a start weighting position by receiving a fuel metering rack with an engine stop means in a stand by posture adjusted by a posture adjusting means, and positioning a start weighting position of the fuel metering rack.
A fuel injection device 1 is provided with a posture adjusting means 76 for adjusting stand by posture 75 of an engine stop means 56. A fuel metering rack 49 is received by the engine stop means 56 adjusted by this posture adjusting means 76 so as to perform the positioning of a start weighting position 77 of the rack 49. The posture adjusting means 76 is formed of a stopper bolt 110, and this bolt 110 is operated for threading so as to be interlocked with an output lever 107 through an input lever 109, and a flange cylinder 105 including a flange part 106 locked with the output lever 107 is rotated so as to regulate the stand by position of a manual operation section 101. The fuel metering rack 49 is received by a tip of the flange cylinder 15 so as top perform the positioning of the start weighting position 77.
