Abstract:

To increase fuel economy and improve emission by increasing an operating range for injecting a plurality of times in one time of injection timing by increasing a stratified combustion range.

A fuel is injected in a compression stroke by dividing it into a plurality of times. By a first injection, a lean mixture is formed around a plug, and inflammable mixture by a second injection is allowed to reach around the ignition plug. Thus, a stratified combustion can be efficiently performed, and exhaust performance and fuel economy can be increased.
