PURPOSE: To prevent locking of a movable core and abnormal operation thereof associated therewith caused by freeze of water separated from compressed air, by extending a passage for compressed air in a drive section housing so as to bypass a part around a gap between the movable core and a hole into which the movable core is inserted.
CONSTITUTION: A passage 50 for compression air in a drive section housing 2, formed bypassing a gap between a movable core 32 and a movable core insertion hole 40 for slidably guiding the movable core 32, of an electromagnetic type actuator. Accordingly, it is possible to avoid causing a trouble such that water separated from compressed air is pooled in the gap and is then froze so as to lock the movable core 32. Further, in a normal operating condition, a needle 25 is reciprocated by the movable core 32 in the electromagnetic actuator so as to open and close a nozzle port 23, and accordingly, the moving directions of the movable core and the needle are changed at both ends of the reciprocal stroke, that is, when the movable core 32 bumps upon a stator 28 and the needle 25 impinges upon the nozzle port.
