Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide a fuel injection device for a multiple cylinder internal combustion engine not required to provide a cylinder for preinjection and which does not lower number of rotation of a fuel injection pump.
CONSTITUTION: Fuel in the pressurized state in a cylinder #1 is delivered under pressure from a passage 37 for preinjection to a passage 36 for main injection of a cylinder #4 and is preinjected from an injection nozzle 44. At timing continued to a preinjection pressure delivery process in the cylinder #1, fuel pressurization is carried out in the cylinder #4, and fuel delivered under pressure to the passage 36 for main injection is mainly injected following preinjection from the injection nozzle 44.
