In the fuel injection device, an injection hole plate 43 having the injection holes 44a, 44b, 44c formed thereon is fixed on a tip part of a valve body 42 of an injector 33, a needle valve 48 is movably supported in the valve body 42, the needle valve 48 establishes communication of a fourth fuel passage 62 and the injection holes 44a, 44b, 44c and enables to inject fuel to a combustion chamber 16, and the injection holes 44a, 44b, 44c consists of restriction parts 71a, 71b, 71c communicating to the fourth fuel passage 62 and having tapered shape passage diameter, and expansion parts 72a, 72b, 72c having passage diameters larger than the restriction parts 71a, 71b, 71c and constant in an axial direction and communicating to the combustion chamber 16.
