To provide a fuel injection device having superior temperature characteristic by suppressing fluctuation of the time required by the start of the displacement of a valve member dependent on the temperature.
In the fuel injection device, a control body 40 has a pressure control chamber 53, a flow-in port 52a for allowing the fuel to flow in the control chamber 53, and a flow-out port 54a for allowing the fuel to flow out from the control chamber 53. A floating plate 70 for blocking the flow-in port 52a from the pressure control chamber 53 by pressing an opening wall surface 90 by the pressure of the fuel is arranged in the pressure control chamber 53. The floating plate 70 has a recessed part 72 in a pressure-bearing surface 77 opposite to a nozzle needle 60, and the nozzle needle 60 has a projecting part 62 on a valve bearing surface 61 opposite to the pressure-bearing surface 77. In a condition in which the nozzle needle 60 and the floating plate 70 are brought closest to each other, the projecting part 62 is located within the recessed part 72, and a fore end part 62a thereof is separated from a bottom part 72a of the recessed part 72.
