To provide a fuel injection device which accelerates atomization of emulsified fuel.
An injector 30 injects the emulsified fuel including water dispersed in fuel source into a combustion chamber 19 of an internal combustion engine 10. An injection control means 50 computes injection information including an injection volume and an injection timing of the emulsified fuel injected from the injector 30, according to an operating condition of the internal combustion engine 10, and controls the injector based on the injection information. A microwave irradiation means 40 irradiating the emulsified fuel injected from the injector 30 with a microwave is also provided, and a microwave irradiation control means 50 controls the microwave irradiation means 40 to irradiate the emulsified fuel injected from the injector 30 with the microwave, based on the injection information computed by the injection control means. The water in the emulsified fuel is thus excited to be heated and evaporated, thereby accelerating the atomization of the fuel source.
